Veterinary Technician National Exam (VTNE)

Prepare for the Veterinary Technician National Exam (VTNE)

There are two ways to get Veterinary Technician Exam preparation materials.

1. Go to the new Mometrix database here. You will log in using your TTC username and password.

2. You can also go to the LearningExpress Library database for exam materials.To get the exams and eBook after following the links below, you choose Career Preparation module and then Prepare for Allied Health and Social Worker Exams. Exam materials are available under Prepare for Veterinary Technician Certification. You must register as a new user. Registration requires a valid email address and a password.

If the Veterinary Technician National Exam (VTNE) is in your future, here's a plan to help you prepare for a great score.

  1. Take VTNE Practice Exam 1. Review the score report and answer explanations to determine the areas where you need additional practice.
  2. Download Veterinary Technician Exam, 2nd Edition. The chapters in this eBook provide review lessons covering the concepts assessed on the official exam. Use this information to focus on your identified weaknesses.
  3. Next, take VTNE Practice Exam 2. Assess your progress and, if necessary, go back to the eBook to take more practice tests and to review specific skills.

"The requirement for a license to practice as a veterinary technician requires passing the online examination(s) by the South Carolina Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners. The examination(s) will be on the Veterinary Medical Practice Rules and Regulations and such other subjects relating to animal health technology as the board may require." -  South Carolina Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners
