NUR208 Health Promotion for Fam II: Find Nursing Articles and Books

What if I Can't Find the Article I Need?

e-Journals in Full Text

If you have a citation but the full text is not available in one database, check the e-journal finder to see if the full text is available in another library database.

Interlibrary Loan

If you've found a citation but we don't have the article in one of our databases, you can request the article from another library through interlibrary loan. *Please note this may take several days.

The Nursing Resource Center carries the last 5 years of two nursing journals.

  1. Search these journals through a library database:
  1. Go to the NSRC to find the last five years in print.

Assignment: Teaching Project

Teaching Project:

1. each partner must evaluate an existing patient tool (does not have to be related to your topic)

2. each group must create their own teaching tool (must be related to the topics learned in NUR158 and/or NUR208)

To create your teaching tool you must research the topic

  • must include at least 3 journal articles from professional literature (nursing, medical, psychological journals, etc.)
  • must be articles written for a medical professional, not a consumer
  • no editorials or abstracts will be accepted
  • articles must be published within the last 5 years
