The TTC Library recently added Films on Demand: Nursing Video Collection to its list of databases. This film collection is designed to help nursing students excel in their studies, pass licensure exams, and to prepare them for long-term job success in an increasingly complex health care system. It features titles from trusted producers such as Medcom-Trainex, Elsevier, Cengage Learning/Concept Media, Classroom Productions, Inc., NEVCO, Wolters Kluwer Health, Institute for Professional Care Education/Medifecta, PESI, Inc., and others.

To use the database, visit the library’s Databases by Subject page and click on the Films On Demand: Nursing Video Collection link in the Nursing & Health Sciences section. You can also search for Films on Demand: Nursing Video Collection in the A-Z Databases List.

The TTC Library has a new database, Gale Presents: Peterson’s Career Prep. This database is for middle school students through adults. It gives personalized career assessments, prepares you for a job search, and will assist you in searching and applying for jobs.

Database Details:

• Personalize career assessments focused on interests, values, personality, and workplace preferences
• Comprehensive career information including videos, articles, best practices, and downloadable worksheets
• Job searching capabilities via Indeed.com
• Resume editing software providing 5,000 templates and cover letter samples
